KnightSat-1

The founding project of the Knights Satellite Club. A TubeSat ADCS (Attitude Determination & Control System) designed for InterOrbital Systems’ next generation of small satellites. Focused on demonstrating ADCS in low earth orbit while utilizing reaction wheels to orient in space.

Additional testing will take place to demonstrate the stabilization with the reaction wheels and pointing capabilities of the TubeSat. With the project being part of the University Nanosatellite Program, KSC hopes to have a successful orbital launch paid for and sent to space via a NASA rideshare mission. Currently KS1 is in a nearly finished state and is not an active project as the club awaits a future launch opportunity.
